Privacy Policy — Expose AI

Last updated: July 2026

Expose AI is a browser extension that lets you check whether an image or video appears to be AI-generated. This page explains what data the extension handles and why.

What we collect

When you click the extension's button or use its right-click menu to check an image or video, the extension sends that specific image (or a captured video frame) to our server at api.exposeai.tech for classification. No other content from the page you're viewing is sent.

What we don't collect

We do not require an account, do not collect your name, email, or browsing history, and do not track your activity across websites. The extension only acts on the specific image or video you explicitly choose to check.

How the image data is used

The image or video frame is sent to our server solely to run it through our AI-detection model and return a result (a label and confidence score) to your browser. It is processed in memory to produce that result and is not stored, logged, or used for any other purpose afterward.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and debugging purposes. These logs are not shared with third parties and are not used to identify individual users.

Third parties

We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
